Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, or BIDV, and VC Corp on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement in online payment, allowing 500,000 SohaPay users to top-up their accounts at 1,200 transaction points of the lender in Vietnam.
SohaPay developed by VC Corp is one of free online payment tools. According to the E-commerce and Information Technology Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, SohaPay takes the lead in terms of e-transaction value and accounts for around 30% of the total e-payment market.
Nguyen The Tan, deputy general director of VC Corp, said the cooperation with BIDV would bring more transaction points for SohaPay and better services for users. VC Corp expects to have millions of SohaPay users within the next few years.
Earlier, VC Corp has also inked a deal with Techcombank to help SohaPay users to top-up accounts through the bank’s network.
