HCMC – Citibank on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) in sectors such as mobilization, international payment, treasury, cash management, and training.

According to Citibank’s statement, through the cooperation, VDB can effectively make use of Citibank’s relationship with institutions on global capital markets, and its technology and diversified banking products. A cooperation project involving the two sides is to raise long-term funds from global institutions for Hanoi-Haiphong expressway.

Citibank now has partnerships with more than 60 export credit agencies and multilateral finance institutions in the world. As one of the leading arrangers of agency-backed financing globally, Citibank now serves financial institutions, business corporations and development agencies particularly in emerging markets such as Vietnam in terms of mobilizing funds.
