Gold expected to rise on inflation concerns

Gold rose for the first time this week on Thursday and the demand for the metal as a hedge against inflation is expected to grow in the next several days. The price of gold increased to VND26.47 million per tael on Thursday, compared with VND26.32 million on Wednesday. A tael is equal to 37.5 grams. Domestic airfares poised to go up

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has approved a proposal by the Ministry of Transport to raise the ceiling for domestic airfares, a move aimed at improving airlines’ pricing flexibility. From next month economy class fares will be capped at VND682,000 ($36.88) for distances of less than 300 kilometers and VND864,000 for 300 to 500 kilometers.
