Morgan Stanley’s Mack forgoes bonus again
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Morgan Stanley (MS.N) Chief Executive John Mack is forgoing a year-end bonus for the third straight year, he said in a memo obtained by Reuters, putting pressure on other Wall Street CEOs to follow suit.
Mack is the second bank chief executive not to receive a bonus, but the first to forgo it voluntarily.

Qantas, AirAsia in talks on cost-saving jv
SYDNEY – Two of Asia’s major low-cost airlines, Malaysia’s AirAsia and Qantas Airways-owned Jetstar, are in talks to form a joint venture, in a sign budget carriers are under pressure to drive costs even lower.

Exxon Mobil to explore for oil in Vietnam
American oil and gas giant ExxonMobil plans to explore for oil and gas off Vietnam’s central coast, said Quang Nam Province authorities after meeting with the U.S. firm on Thursday.
Provincial People’s Committee chairman, Le Minh Anh, said Exxon Mobil planned to explore blocks 117, 118 and 119 offshore the provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, and Danang City.
